The black backdrop is as black as it gets.  Made for photographic use, it is the perfect backdrop for dramatic portraits or product photography.

The white backdrop is perfect for that hi-key, blown out background look- just light the backdrop twice as bright as the subject and you are ready to go.

The third backdrop is a hand dyed, 100% cotton muslin in blue tones.  This muslin has an upbeat, cool, refreshing character reminiscent of the sea and  sky.  This background can be used for all kinds of applications, from portraiture to product work (we've sold our share of these to school photographers). To bring out the texture try lighting your backdrop from the side with  a hard light light source.  A soft light, like a fluorescent light or a softbox light will lessen the wrinkle texture of the backdrop.  These backgrounds are all hand processed so each one is unique.

Change the character of any of your backgrounds to suite your subject by lighting them darker than your subject, draping them or using gels or projecting shadows onto them with a gobo or cucaloris.
