reflector 450 watt continuous fluorescent lighting kit for photography and
video lighting. This kit is centered around these 45 watt high output compact fluorescent lamps that produce 150 watts of useable light. These lamps were developed specifically for digital imaging. Flicker free and daylight balanced (5100K), these lamps produce a super soft glow that with bathe your subjects in a superior light, requiring no extra filtration or color correction for achieving natural skin tones and color. With the reflector attachment the light becomes more concentrated and easier to control.
This is great lighting made easy way. This lighting kit gives you soft light that eliminates harsh shadows and hotspots. Works great for portraiture or product photography.
You also get a new professional quality background support system. Compact, light-weight (weighs only 10lbs) and easy to set up, just angle the legs out from the stand, extend it up to 8'6" (maximum height) and top with the interlocking crossbar. Crossbar is secured to stands with wing nuts. Non-slip rubber tips on legs of support stand to prevent movement.
This kit also includes a backdrop support system and a 6'X9' green chromakey muslin. 100% cotton.
*About Fluorescent Lighting
Fluorescent lamps are more efficient than incandescent light bulbs because a greater proportion of the power used is converted into useable light rather than heat, allowing the fluorescent lamp to run cooler. Thus a fluorescent lamp requiring 45 watts of power, for instance, produces as much light as a 150 watt incandescent light bulb, but with up to 90% less heat.
