This is a new PBL 3 light, 480 watt STROBE/FLASH variable adjustment lighting kit for studio use and photography lighting. These lights have a stepless power output dial, so you can go all the way from 1/16 power to full power, varying light intensities to suit your needs. These are new, high output, 160 watts per second monolights designed to be compact and easy to use, yet powerful enough to light up even the most difficult of scenes. This is a complete studio kit. Just add camera.
The question always arises: How much light do I need? The answer is dependent on what you are going to shoot. With that in mind we have designed this 480WS strobe lighting kit to be as versatile as possible. You can use this kit to do everything from general portrait work to more exacting product photography. As photographers with over twenty years experience shooting everything from parties to passport headshots, we've designed this kit with versatility in mind. This kit provides for quick setup and will be enough light to handle most jobs; from small products and pets, we've been able to photograph up to a group of ten people (stacked) comfortably with these lights, and everything in between. |

We are including in this kit one new professional quality 24 inch softbox which can be used as the key light. These light modifiers are the most sought after accessories by professional photographers because of the soft, wrap around lighting that they create.
The softbox diffuses the light, eliminating hot spots, creating a flattering soft light. Soft lighting illuminates the subject with a flattering wrap around light eliminating hard shadows and overpowering highlights. Your work will have a clarity of light that will accentuate your subject and not their flaws.
Use the 32 inch gold/black umbrella as your fill light to balance the lighting on your subject. The diffused light reflected off of the interior of the umbrella is the perfect counterpoint to the light from the softbox, warming up your subject with a warm, golden fill. This umbrella will really warm up your entire shot.
Use any of these lights with the four leaf barndoor that comes complete with gels and a honeycomb as a hair light to add extra depth to your images, or as a background light with a colored gel.
 For variety you can switch light modifiers on the lights since they are interchangeable, use the umbrella on the key light, or the barndoor for more dramatic direct hard lighting effects with or without the included gels. This direct or hard lighting in combination with the soft lighting created by the softbox will give your work an extra dimension and depth. Your creativity is your only limit with these lights. You can get the kinds of hard/soft lighting that exists in the real world, or try more dramatic lighting that will heighten the suspense of your shoot. |
