We put this kit together based on our own requirements as working photographers. Since jobs often take us from the studio, we designed this kit to be portable and easy to assemble. But moreover, this lighting kit is designed to give you the light you need to get the job done right. At 480 w/s total light output, we've used these lights for group shots up to 15 people comfortably. We've done events with these lights where space and time was limited and these lights have always met the challenge.

Each new PBL FAN-160 in this 3 light kit has a stepless variable output control so you can dial in the amount of light you need, from 50w/s to 160w/s (full power). An added feature is that all the accessories included in this kit are interchangeable. You can use the lights directly, with no modification, or try out the softbox or the umbrella or the barndoor set with gels on any of the three lights. With these included accessories you can have a variety of different types of light from very hard dramatic lighting to soft and even lighting perfect for portraiture or product photography. And best yet is that this kit comes with a wireless radio trigger to fire your strobes. This two part device works on low frequency radio waves- the transmitter fits on your standard camera hotshoe and the receiver plugs into the sync port on one of you lights. When you press the exposure button the transmitter sends a signal to the receiver and flash. The other lights in the kit will slave off of that.

We are including in this kit our brand new PBL Compact Support System. Weighing a mere 10lbs, and measuring only 38in length when it is folded, this support system extends to 8'6" tall with a 9' wide crossbar. The legs on this system are extra wide for greater support. To get you started we are including 2 muslin backgrounds, a black and a white.
